    Face of Golden Acre – Competition Terms and Conditions

    1. The promoters of this competition are Growthpoint Properties, Golden Acre Shopping Centre and The Blue Room.
    2. You may only enter this competition if you are a citizen and permanent resident of South Africa, if you reside in Cape Town and if you are 18 years or over.
    3. The winner will be required to present a valid South African ID document and sign a 2-year contract with Golden Acre Shopping Centre for the usage of all images taken by our in-house photographer and a 2-year modelling contract with MMM Agency.
    4. The competition will run from Monday, 4 January 2021 to Sunday, 28 February 2021 at 23:59.
    5. The dates for entry submissions are between Monday, 4 January 2021 and Monday, 25 January 2021 at 00:00. No late entries will be accepted.
    6. The Top 10 finalists will be announced in February 2021, and the winner will be contacted telephonically or via email.
    7. All entries will be verified by the Marketing Manager. If any discrepancies should arise, the entrant will be disqualified from the competition.
    8. To enter the competition: complete the entry form accurately – including the submission of both a headshot and full length photograph
    9. The Top 10 finalists will need to be available to meet with the judges in February 2021 and the winner will need to be available for a photo shoot in February 2021 with the in-house photographer. All COVID-19 safety precautions will need to be adhered to.
    10. The judges’ decision is final and binding and cannot be appealed. No correspondence will be entered into.
    11. You may not enter the competition if you are a director, member, partner, employee, tenant, agent, consultant or supplier to the promoter or their respective spouses, partners, family members, business partners or associates.
    12. The competition prizes are as follows: being a Golden Acre brand ambassador for 2 years, a 2-year modelling contract with MMM Agency, a voucher(s) to the total value of R3 000 to be spent at Golden Acre stores.
    13. The prize is neither negotiable nor transferable and may not be exchanged for cash and/or a different date.
    14. Should the competition prizes referred to above for any reason whatsoever become unavailable, the promoters may award a prize in similar or lesser value.
    15. The 2-year modelling contract named in the prize is its own separate agreement / contract and will have its only terms and clauses that all MMM Agency’s artists adhere to. In order to claim this part of the prize, the winner of the competition must be willing to accept the terms of the contract. The winner reserves their right not to sign the contract with MMM Agency, which will result in the modelling contract becoming null-and-void. In such an instance, Golden Acre Shopping Centre will not award a similar prize of a similar value.
    16. The promoters accept no liability for damaged or lost prizes after they have been accepted by winner.
    17. Further to the above clause, the promoters of this competition may not be held liable for any part of the MMM Agency contract, employment agreement, labour conditions, injuries or fatalities and/or work that may or may not arise from the two-year modelling contract named in the prize.
    18. This competition/promotion is a complete release of Facebook/Google by each entrant/participant.
    19. We also acknowledge that this competition/promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered with Facebook/Google/any other external platform it may be advertised on.

    21. The promoters hold the right to alter or cancel any aspect of the competition at any time at its sole discretion without liability
    22. The entrant shall have no claim of whatsoever nature or from whatsoever cause arising as a result of and/or due to the competition and prize against the owners of Golden Acre Shopping Centre, their managing agent, marketing agent or any affiliated company of the aforementioned pertaining to competition.
    23. Owing to the nature of this competition, by entering this competition all entrants waiver any usage rights of their images and grant the promoters full permission to allow their name and photograph(s) to be used for public voting and participation, publicity purposes and marketing materials, without additional consent or compensation.
    24. By entering this competition, entrants note that they may be sharing “personal information” as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“the Act”). The promoters reserve the right to “process”, as defined in the Act, the personal information of the entrant for the purpose of conducting the competition, and the competition entrant, through entering the competition, hereby consents to such processing. Should an entrant object to such processing and/or would like to access and/or correct a record of the personal information that the promoter holds on them, they may do so by submitting a formal written request to: [email protected].
